Watch out for a kid named King!

Hi everyone!! I hope you all have had the best week. This week has FLOWN! As for the title of this email, you might think it's obvious but you're already wrong haha. Our amigo, Jorge told me the other day that he will be naming his first born child after me hahaha! So for that kid named King in years to come, we love you.

This week was so so good!!

Okay also the spanish keyboard is on so I will try my hardest to have this make sense hahaha

Tuesday!
We had a really good cita with Jorge (amigo with a bap fecha) and we had members accompany us!! We talked about the plan of salvation. What a blessing Gods plan for us is! We also had a good, good cita with Roberto!! He is progressing and we are just super proud of him. OKAY MIRACLE TIME! ! At night we called a door (yep you just holler haha) and this guy came out without a shirt. In Peru everyone answers your knock from a window or balcony. He put a shirt on and came out to talk to us. He apologized for not wearing a shirt..he thought when I called him, I was his 7 year old niece...hahah! Yup. We love that. We continued talking and it turns out he is an ex´catholic priest. He said the higher up he got in the church he realized how corrupt it was.  He was really interested! We love Martin!

Wednesday!
We had a cita with Carlos. He finally realized how strong of a testimony he has. It is the coolest thing to see his testimony grow and grow!! We also met with a less active that owns a beauty salon haha fancy right? haha!

Thursday!
We had entrevistas and room inspections! We got our house decorated with a welcome sign and treats hahaha! Then we had entrevistas with President. Ah I just am so grateful for President Strong and Hna Strong. They are some of the greatest people I know!! I have had some stomach problems and so President prescribed me some meds! It is so funny because pharmacies here only need the name of the drug. So when we walked up we just said what we wanted, how much and for how long and no questions asked they handed over the drugs haha! WOOT! We also ate pepito again with President and Hna Strong. I will send a pic!! We had such a good cita with Jorge too. We are so proud of our amigos!!!

Friday!
We headed to the offices again for Hna Luke. We spent basically the whole day there! BUT when we got home..MIRACLE TIME! This guy that drives a moto had driven us a few times and HOW do you see the same person multiple times here? Never. haha! BUT we ran into him AGAIN and he wanted to hear our message!! His name is Marcos! He said he wanted to come to church! AND it turns out he rents FROM A MEMBER!! A member that we visit all the time!! MIRACLE NO??

Saturday!
We had the funnest contacting activity in Libertadores! It was an elders sector so it was a lot sketchier than most. It was really fun to explore the other sector! We contacted about families. It was so fun!! We found some really sweet graffiti in english haha! I will send a pic of that too! We were back in our sector and we complimented this lady, she ended up talking to us and we got a cita with her and 3 other people in her family!! Goes to show a compliment is NEVER wasted. We had citas with Jorge and Roberto! They are so solid!!

Sunday!
Okay wow what a FUN DAY!! Family Arambulo who used to be reallyyyyy less active is now active and today at church, one of them got a calling!! I started crying it was the coolest thing ever. Karina is now the secretary in the primary presidency!! Such a proud moment!!! Marcos came to church!! He LOVED the Sacrament! Roberto and Jorge both didn't come to church so we need to figure that one out sadly. We are praying hard!! A recent convert who is now wanting to go on a mission asked if she could come out with us one day this week! She's coming out with us next week!! It'll be so fun!! We also had the funnest NDH with our other Jorge amigo and some member families! We made sugar cookies from the mix and used frosting to decorate!! MOM YOU ARE THE BEST!! Thank you for those. We talked about agency! It was so fun!!

Spiritual thought for the week!
Fear ye not. And when the second and the third and the fourth blows come, fear ye not...the Lord shall fight for you. Cast not away therefore your confidence!

Always, always remember whose team we are on! The Lord will never give up on us so don't you dare give up on yourself!!

My challenge for the week!!
Read your patriarchal blessing and write down promises God has kept. The Lord is faithful to His word, ALWAYS.

I love you guys so so much! I am so grateful for your support and love. The gospel is true and I am so grateful I get to be a missionary and bring the gospel to people that don't have it, YET!

Love you all!!!
Hermana King!

Hi guys!! What a fun week this past week was! Peru is just as SCORCHING as ever but esta bien! haha! Okay so for starters ice milk. A lot of the ice cream machines here say ïce milk" on them and we just thought it was so funny hahaa so we had to try and well. We loved it! haha!

11(Tuesday)-
We had a cita with Roberto and he gave us pepino. Pepino is cucumber but DID YOU KNOW there is a cucumber fruit too? Like not the cucumber you put in your salads haha weird right? But so yummy!! Roberto passed his practice baptismal interview and we are so happy about it!!! He is so good!!
12(Wednesday)-
We had the funnest district meeting! We stayed together as a zone today and it was a party. We did teaching practices and heard from the 2 district leaders and our zone leaders. We also had lunch all together! We had a Venezuelan dish called Pepito. Guys. Think of every type of meet with tomatoes, veggies, fry looking things, and this red and white sauce on bread haha! It was yummy! I didn't ask what was in it until after hahah! We had such good citas with some people that were SO promising. GOLDEN PEOPLE! Buttttt they live outside of our sector gosh darn it.
13(Thursday)-
We had another cita with Roberto. It was so good! We talked about fasting! I challenged him to fast about his baptism that is in 2 weeks and the reply we got was "yes for sure, I will do that in 2 weeks"hahaha we laughed and explained that he should probably do it before he is baptized haha! No worries he accepted the challenge to fast this week haha! On our way home, a guy from his shop stopped and asked us where our church was and when. He had talked with every other church and he felt like they weren't right. He told us his mom passed away in January and he felt like our church was the one for him. WHAT!! Yes!! His name is Jorge and we love him! He told us we were his angels. SWEETEST OLD GUY.
14(Friday)-
We had the funnest service today! We sanded CONCRETE haha! Welcome to Peru! It was actually really fun! Any service is fun with our district. We are just down to serve anyone doing anything! Never have I ever really celebrated Vday until I got here hahaha! We came home and decorated a wall in our room and got dressed up for the holiday haha! How festive right? hahah! As we were walking down the street we decided to pass by for one of our amigos named Rafael. He told us right of the bat he GOT HIS TESTIMONY ABOUT THE BOOK OF MORMON!!! Guys what a miracle!! We have been working with him since I got here!! He is the best!!! So proud of him!!!! We had a cita with our friend Jorge! I told him the 1st vision and he loved it. I then extended the baptismal invite and he accepted with the biggest smile!!! March 7th the church will have another member that is so strong. I feel so lucky to be able to work with these friends to help then obtain the truth!!!
15(Saturday)-
We had such a fun ward activity today! We did the tree of life and had the ward members in blind folds and they had to find the iron rod! After the activity, Hna Luke and I talked to them about 1 Nephi 8! On our way home from the activity about 10 little kiddos ran up to us and so we talked to them for a bit! They were so intrigued with english haha as is everyone here! They are our little best friends that we see almost daily!
16(Sunday)-
Today marked 2 months in Peru!! I cant believe it!! I have loved everyday here. We sang in church! Jorge came to church and he said he wanted to stand up and clap for us after we sang. Haha! We had lunch with the sweetest family! I don't know if you've ever seen chicken feet as a meal but one of the pieces of chicken that the member ate was the feet haha! We had a cita with our amigo Carlos and his mom! He is the most ready person I have ever seen to get baptized! We are just waiting for the permission of the mom. We were able to meet with her today and we made a LOT of progress! Miracles EVERY DAY!! We also had a cita with Rafael and he is just the best. Slowly but surely. We had a noche de hogar as well! It was so fun! We had our other Jorge amigo there and 3 member families!

What a good week!! Today we got woken up from a call at 7:15 from Rafael asking how we were hahaha. We couldn't help but just laugh. Our day started a lot earlier than expected but thats okay haha! We had lunch with our district today which was so fun!!

My spiritual thought is this!!
2 Nephi 4:20-21
"My God hath been my support, he hath led me through mine afflictions...He hath filled me with his love." God supports us and leads us through everyday! How do we grow if He does it for us? He is there to be a guide because he knows just how strong we are. God knows our potential and what our capacities are!!

My challenge for you all!!!!
We all have trials and afflictions, I know God will support and lead us through them. I know this because we are all his children and He loves us very much. I challenge you all to kneel down and ask God, our Heavenly Father "Do you love me?"This is a question I promise you God will answer. This week, keep an eye out. When, not if, when you get your answer write it down and then thank God.

You guys are all the best!!! I hope you guys have the best week ever!!!!!

Broken cement+broken skin = Broken hearts and contrite spirits!

Hi everyone!!! How are you guys?! Alright guys this week for my email will be a little different!

I just want to talk about a few MIRACLES that I have seen! For starters I want to talk about how grateful I am for my mission and everyone in it. On Wednesday of this past week I got a call in the morning from my mission president saying my grandma had passed away. I took a little bit of time to cry and be sad. I also took a second to think about my situation right then. I had a mission president on the phone telling me he loves me and I had a companion hugging me and crying with me. In every situation, especially on my mission, I have realized how involved God is with hard times in our lives. That night I got a priesthood blessing from my district leader, Elder Potter. So many more blessings!! As he started the blessing I took a minute and looked around. I had 4 priesthood holders there to participate in the blessing. We are so blessed with the priesthood!!

God is so good!!! We were also able to BREAK CEMENT! Hence the broken skin reference in my title haha. Blisters had blisters haha! Oh mission life, right? WE LOVE IT!! It was so fun! Dad--you would have been so proud. I got to smash some cement using heavy tools and we KILLED IT. So thanks for teaching me the important things in life like holding tools haha!

Roberto is THRIVING!! He is doing so well!! We have another progressing amigo named Jorge that is probably going to get a fecha this week!! Send your prayers to Peru!!

As WELL! We had a multizona this past week and I met the Roberts from PROVO UTAH! And they know my family! No worries y'all--I got a shoutout from the pulpit when they introduced themselves haha! They are here to work on the new temple! How cool right?! ALSO! We had HIGH fitness again and wow we love high fitness haha! Everyone had a blast!!

My spiritual thought for this week is this:
"We don't just believe in Christ, we LIVE the doctrine of Christ."Every week, everyday we should strive to live like Christ. It only takes small and simple actions!!

My CHALLENGE FOR YOU ALL IS THIS:
Read chapter 9 in Matthew. There are storIES yes multiple stories of Christ performing miracles. Christ is kind and everything good. This week opened my eyes to see so many Christlike qualities in the people around me. There were Christlike miracles this week. This week pick an attribute of Christ from the TG and implement it in this week. As a representative of Jesus Christ, I promise you that when you do this with a happy & willing heart, you WILL see Christlike miracles. You might just be a MIRACLE for someone else.

Man I just love you guys!! I am sop grateful for your prayers and love!! Keep going and KILL It this week!!!!!

Love you all SO much!!!
Hermana King :))

Dis fecha ain't un fechoria!!!!!

Hi guys!!!!! It was such a good week for the San Germanas!!!!

27 (Monday)
The ferris wheel was amazing so I just had to include it here hahah

28(Tuesday)
First day of the new change and the San Germanas are back at it for another transfer! We had some miracles today! Hna Luke put me in charge of directing us so of course we got lost and we had to take some roundabout ways but God needed us where we were! We met TWO nuevos within 10 minutes of each other! We had a visit with Fam Arambulo and they said they want to get temple recommends!! Yes!!!

29(Wednesday)
Okay!! SO we finally got to teach our amigo, Roberto. It has been so hard to teach him because he works out of our zone so we had to ask a bunch to go out of the zone to teach him. We finally did and WOW! I have never met a more ready guy that just needs the gospel. His testimony is so ready to grow and wow. We also have gotten into 50/50 teaching which has been a real life miracle of how God works through His missionaries. I dont know spanish but every time we get into a lesson words just come out. The lesson that we taught him, was a lesson I had never fully participated in teaching before and God put words in my mouth. SO GRATEFUL! A friend once told me that "we arent called to speak spanish, we are called to preach the gospel!" That has been so so true!!

30 (Thursday)
We met our new zone!! They are amazing!! We are a hoot. Hna Luke and I taught part of our district meeting and we taught about teaching while being unified but its funny because our whole district is still training so we all laughed BUT then we did this activity where there was one amigo and all of our district sat there and we taught L1 but the person teaching was the person who the amigo was looking at so it changed throughout the whole lesson. It was one of the coolest experiences ever!! Okay so at night we had a little scare..we came home for the bathroom and as we were leaving again we saw this car right outside of the gate to our house. We locked the door and started down the street and then the car pulled into the street, we ran back into the gate and waited for him to leave. Long story and (not fully details hahah mama k is on this email) we called our district leader and about 20 minutes later we got a call from president. All is good! We told president we weren't worried because the San Germanas are a pretty tough duo haha. We had some good laughs. We werent allowed out the rest of the night.

31( Friday)
We met with Roberto again! HE IS AMAZING!!! We taught about Christ and he is so so good! I opened up to a random scripture trying to gather my thoughts while Hna Luke was teaching and she turned it over to me like really fast hahaha so I just pointed to a verse and we read it. Turned out to be exactly what we needed! Woot! We also met with Rafael and he accepted baptism but no date yet. It is a process and God is working with us!

1( Saturday)
Alright guys. This is the update I know you all were waiting for. OUR HIGH FITNESS CLASS.Guys. It was a smashing success today haha! WE had amigos there and members!! One of the amigos of some elders is super into fitness and he came and he LOVED IT!!! It was so so good!!!! We had a meeting that night for the missionaries in our stake so that was fun!

2( Sunday)
Today was the best!! We had church and Roberto came with us!! He really enjoyed it! All of the members came up to him and introduced themselves. It was so good! After church we gave him a tour and then we gave him a lesson on how to find answers! We went into a classroom and asked him what one of the questions he has for God. He wanted to know if the LDM was true. We had him say a prayer and then Hna Luke said "okay. lets find your answer right now. Open up to any page in the LDM and pick a random verse."Guys I got so nervous! I was like... uhhh what is she doing....who is this woman....the faith she has....haha!  He opened up to 1 Nephi 11:15 and we started reading with this question of his in mind. We read not even a chapter when he said he felt something about his answer! I taught about how we need to ask God with the answer we think is right and ask Him yes or no after telling Him what we think. After that he prayed very specifically. After his prayer he kept his eyes closed and then just smiled at us. He told us he got his answer about the truthfulness! YAY for testimonies!! We taught about commitments after. In our previous lessons we had brought up baptism and so we brought it up again and extended a baptismal date and invitation and he accepted!!! 22 of February!! Yes!!

I just want to tell all of you guys that God is in the details. My spiritual thought is in 1 Nephi 15:8 when Nephi asks his borther "have ye inquired of the Lord?"This week I told God I felt small and that I didnt quite know why He needed me where I was. He answered my prayers with giving me a companion that takes all of my crazy ideas and enthusiasm to make it a good thing. High fitness was one of these little miracles! I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father and how much He wants to involve himself in our lives.

My challenge for you is this! Pray to God with a specific question and open up the Book Of Mormon, pick a verse and start reading. I promise you that when we ask God with faith, He will find a way to answer our prayers just how we need them answered.

I love you all so so much!!!!!!
