Havin fun and stayin 6 feet apart WOOT

Wow!! How is it already Monday again!! I hope you ALL had the best week ever!!

Here in Ocala we are THRIVING! Last week we weren't too thrilled about our numbers and we got pretty down. We all sat looking at each other and out of no where words just started coming out haha I told my comps that I had confidence that we were going to double our numbers next week and then we prayed at night! And GUYS this week we TRIPLED our numbers from last week!! I usually save spiritual moments until the end but hahaha here I go. One of our mission mottos is "All In". This past week wasn't all rainbows and butterflies but we told God we were "All In". We worked really hard and it paid off. Sometimes in life it doesn't always work out how we want to, BUT God knows how it SHOULD work out. So keep smiling and know you're doing better than you think you are :) like come on. We're sons and daughters of Heavenly Father!! HOW RAD!!

Okay some highlights from the week!!
-For those of you who read last week about our snake contact hahaha well...on Wednesday he told us he FOUND IT IN HIS HOUSE bahaha! He said it was trying to get out so he picked it up and threw it wayyyyyy far off the balcony ðŸ˜‚

-We were able to take our friend Jesus to the church and give him a tour! It could not have gone better! He had so many great questions about not only the foundation of our church but also about prophets and temples! It was best!!

-We have been getting so much food from members lately! Not just dinners here and there, but groceries! Ha! On Sunday we received TWO Costco-sized boxes of food like bread, milk, peanut butter, cheese, etc! The elders we share our small Spanish branch with get the same amount so we can't share with anyone haha. So during ward council on Sunday, the branch president gave the elders a lot of crap about not being able to cook hahaa ,so long story short a cook off was talked about hahaha

-We made a bunch of cookies this week!! It has been hard trying to keep up with how generous the members have been! We are so grateful!! We made peanut butter-biscoff cookies and lemme tell ya, they were pretty dang good!

-We were able to have a zone training called "specialized" and it was the first time in months that they had had it in person! We were all in masks and our tables were far apart BUT it was human interaction so we call it a WIN! Haha! Fun spiritual moment from specialized was at the very end. We were able to have a testimony meeting. I had never been in a testimony meeting with just missionaries before! We had about one minute to share what we felt prompted to share! It was one of the coolest, most spiritual experiences i have ever witnessed or been a part of! Hearing these powerful testimonies from such great missionaries really helped us reconnect with our purpose as missionaries! It's sometimes hard to stay motivated because we're inside a lot or making videos/posts for facebook BUT it has been SO awesome to think of out of the box ideas to make it fun!

-We have another friend named Elizabeth! She is  from Ecuador. What's crazy is she's a reference from Salt Lake! One of my cute comps, Hermana Molvar served in Ecuador in almost the same city!! HOW COOL! GUYS God is in the details!! Elizabeth has been doing amazing! She has had so many questions about the Book of Mormon and she comes prepared with her notebook of questions every lesson!!

-WELL! I'll end with a funny/crazy highlight! We were having correlation on Wednesday and for some reason only one of our usual members hopped on. His name is Hermano Mandujuano and he is from PERU. We got talking and it turns out he served his mission in the Lima North mission. He asked me what areas I served in when I was in Peru and I told him San German! He froze and then told me that San German is where he served about 30 YEARS AGO! HOW CRAZY! San German had just moved into our missions boundaries right before I had gotten there in December! WHAT ARE THE ODDS! Crazy crazy cool miracles!! Then he went on and asked if i thought San German was pretty or ugly and before I could answer he goes "it's super ugly, so there's no need to answer" and then we all just laughed. Hey I thought my sector in Peru was AWESOME hahhaa!

Wow!! What a week!!
My spiritual thought/question for you all is this:)

Since when does Christ have limits?
Whenever we think we aren't good enough, or our sins are too big, we shouldn't ever doubt the Atonement. Since WHEN does Christ have limits? Spoiler! He doesn't have ANY limits! This is awesome! Our brother, Jesus Christ died for each and every one of us so we never had to be limited ourselves. He showed us how to have the mindset of growth! Are we perfect? I sure know I'm far far far from perfect BUT because I have confidence in my Savior, I know I don't have to be limited!

My challenge for this is this:)
Watch the video "The Wounded Shall Be Healed" and share it with someone!!

Guys I love you so so much!! Thank you for your prayers, love and support!! Have the BEST week!!!!

Hermana King:)

How we teach in the church, masks and 6 feet apart! Haha!

Accidentally twinned haha

One of our appointments for a video call cancelled on us so here's a picture of a few moments after hahaha

We were SO excited because we got in the car to go to Specialized
and we were finally going to see other missionaries/people haha!

We have "food Friday" every week and this week we tried Checkers!!

Guess who's back (dun dun) back again

Hi guys!!!

It feels SO good to be writing these again!!!! Here are just a few updates!
I'm serving the in Florida Tampa mission, I am in a trio and my comps are just the best, I am serving in an area called Ocala and I am a Spanish speaking sister!! I have been here since Wednesday (the 17th) and I have just absolutely loved it!

I won't do a highlight reel of everyday because a lot of the days we just sit inside and that could get prettyyyyyy repetitive so I just wanna share some highlights from this week!

Okay so like I said I flew in last Wednesday and the moment I knew I was in the right place was when 1. When I got to my gate and there was 7 OTHER MISSIONARIES there hahaha! If you know what happened when I first left, you'll know how relieving it was to fly with other people!! 2. We got Chick fil a in the Dallas airport during our layover and 3. When we got Chick fil a AGAIN with President and Sister Hollingsworth at the Tampa airport haha!

I was the only sister who flew in and so I got to ride with President and his wife haha! The first night I stayed with the YSA sisters, Sisters Hyde and Wilson.  They are the  media specialists so it was way fun to get to know them!!

On Thursday we got to have a little meeting with all the reassigned missionaries that I flew in with and we met our comps!! Im in a trio with Hermana Molver and Hermana Marler!

Okay some funny highlights!!
We like to take bike rides at night sometimes and on Friday night when we were leaving we noticed a snake right outside our door! We watched it for awhile and it went by our neighbors front door and just went back and forth for a bit...then somehow crawled THROUGH the TINY GAP on the bottom of the door (the door was locked, no one was home)! Okay yeah WHAT! So we wrote what happened on a sticky note after knocking a few times on the door with no answer haha! FUNNIEST sticky note I've ever written. ANYWAYS the next day we got a knock on our door and it was our neighbor! He had read our note and because we left our apt number on it he came over! We talked for a bit and ended up explaining that we were missionaries and he's interested in learning more! HAHA WHAT! We'll see what happens but we had a good laugh.

We have been teaching through videochats! It's been different but fun! We have also been teaching in english too so its been way nice! On Sunday we were able to go to the church and have the elders give the sisters the sacrament! It was WAY cool to have the sacrament in the church building again! It was only about 10 of us but it was so special!! The members here are UNREAL! They have brought us groceries. From fruit, cereal, granola and milk (lots and lots of milk) to Chinese takeout and pizza! We are taken care of!!!  We are so so grateful!!!

My thought for the day is this :)
"We are going to be OK; the Lord will protect us." Elder Alvarado

Nephi talks about how this gospel is plain and simple. Something I love and appreciate about quotes like these are just how plain and simple they are. Guys!! We are going to be OK! Not only OK, but just think of who we have protecting us, our Father in Heaven who is God and our brother Jesus Christ!! What hope that promise brings!!!

My challenge for the week is this :)
As missionaries we have been putting focus in Facebook and sharing the gospel through it! This week i challenge all of you to either SHARE  a gospel or spiritual message on Facebook or type one up yourself.

I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY AND I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!! Thank you a million times over for your support and prayers!!

Hermana King :))

Pictures from the Tampa Florida facebook page...

Abby with her new companions

She is still Hermana King!

Elder Chris Miller from our home ward, also went to Tampa, Florida on the same day as Abby!

First Facetime!

Abby face timed us and she is doing great!  We are so happy that she is so happy!

Here is a summary of what she told us:
She is doing great!  She is in a trio with two sisters and she is Spanish speaking.  The mission president said she will do some Spanish and some English, so that is great that she will get to use her Spanish.

She just looked so happy!  It made me so happy!  She is in Ocala, Florida, which is about an hour and a half north of Tampa.  Her apartment overlooks a swimming pool.  She said the apartment is very large and she has her own closet.  The two sisters she is with- I can’t remember what their names were- one has been in Tampa her whole mission and has been out quite a while.  The other was in Ecuador but even less time than Abby was in Peru.

She was the only sister in the bunch that came in, so she drove to the mission home with Pres. and Sister Hollingsworth- it was about a 45 min. drive.  She said that she will be mainly wearing pants on her mission and only dresses, etc. when they go to meetings and things like that.  She will be able to call on Sunday for Father’s day and Monday is her pday, and then they can also call Thursday.  That is the same as it was in Peru, and I think the extra call day is because they are still in quarantine.

Pres. Hollingsworth asked how comfortable she was with her Spanish, she told him she is as comfortable as he needs her to be!  Abby, Abby, Abby!
