Dear family members and Stake Presidents of Peru Lima Central Missionaries,
We have new information to share with you. The Area office has successfully obtained a charter flight for all of the North American Missionaries to return home this Thursday, April 2nd. We are still awaiting additional details and we do not have the itinerary at this time but we wanted to inform you with what we do know.
They will likely leave Lima at approximately 3:00 pm this Thursday and will fly directly to Salt Lake City, Utah. From there, connecting flights will be arranged for missionaries who will be traveling to other locations within the United States. We do not know any of these details at this time but we will inform you as soon as that information is available to us. We have been told to remind you that there should only be a small group to pick them up at the airport and that they will need to be in quarantine for 2 weeks. For those who are eligible to be reassigned to other missions, these details will be given at a future time. You should work with your Stake Presidents regarding this.
Your son or daughter have been instructed to contact you tomorrow (April 1st).
We are grateful for the hard work of the Area office who have diligently labored to obtain this flight for these wonderful missionaries. Thank you as well for your patience in this challenging time.
For those missionaries from Japan, Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand, we still do not have travel information regarding their return home yet.
We will be providing more information as soon as it becomes available. We know it will be a blessing to have them home with you for General Conference.
